Why this format

You probably haven't looked up in months.

If you work with AI daily, updates are non-stop. Models change. Workflows rewrite themselves. Vibe coding has opened a new, more fluid and experimental way of building — but it is also lonelier and more exhausting.

Here, there is space to do that with others. Share what you're discovering. Build something together. And truly rest in between. The deliberate mix of technical and humanist profiles — academics and practitioners, developers and thinkers — isn't decorative: it is the essential condition for the conversations that actually matter.

How it works

No fixed agenda. The group designs its own week.

Collective design on Day 1

The group designs the program together on the first day, dividing the week into four containers: Enjoy, Learn/Share, Build, and Reflect.

Fluid roles — anyone can propose a session

No one arrives with a pre-set role. If you have something to share, host it. The schedule board fills up day by day.

Spontaneous community sustains the space

Self-organised functional groups take care of the kitchen, fire and space — not as chores, but as part of the process itself.

Hirschwangerhof Commons Hub is in Reichenau an der Rax, one hour from Vienna. River, forest, shared kitchen, open fire. Ten days is a full week of your life — so the setting has to earn it.

The gathering only works if the room is genuinely mixed. We select for variety in profession, discipline, gender, age and background — because the most valuable conversations happen between people who would never normally share a table. 25–30 people total.

What it costs

Three separate things — we keep them clean.

Short stay → €40 per day.
Paid in person at the event, on arrival. Only the accommodation is paid online now.
Heads up: a 4–5 day stay costs more than the full pass. This camp is built to be lived whole — come for the whole thing.
